Anželika Cholina started choreographing in 1991, when she was studying at the Moscow
Theatre Academy (GITIS). During a period of twelve years A. Cholina has been creating performances in
the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre.
She is the most prominent choreographer in Lithuania. Lithuanian Music Academy docent,
tutor of dance - acting specialty students.

Anželika Cholina founded her Dance Theatre on the 22nd of December 2000.
Its purpose was to make the independent creative process possible.
The theatres first premiere Tango in FA
(music by A. Piazzolla) took place on the 30th January 2001 in Lithuanian National
Opera and Ballet Theatre. It attracted huge attention from the media. Second dance performance's Love (by contemporary composers' music) premiere was on February 14, 2002 in Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. Third and biggest A. Cholina's work Romeo and Juliet was presented on the 28th of February 2003 in Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. For performance choreographer has gathered troupe of 24 artists: young Lithuanian opera and ballet theatre artists, drama actors and Lithuanian Music Academy dance and acting specialty students. Starting the forth season A|CH theatre renewed A. Cholina's dance performances The house of Bernardo Alba and Carmen overtaken from Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. Carmen for choreographer is completely new work, a possibility to come back to this theme, correct during 5 years form first premiere clarified mistakes, improve choreographic solutions and represent mature attitude to a legendary plot. |

In her dance performances, which she started to create ten years ago she realizes the idea
of the synthesis of dance and drama. Anželika Cholina has produced five one act ballets,
over forty choreographic miniatures, eight dance performances and a ballet,
Medea, based on A. Rekašiuss music in the
National Opera and Ballet Theatre. The latter was awarded the statue of St.Christopher
for the best choreography. Additionally A. Cholina has choreographed for the opera, theatre, film as well as directed various concerts and fashion shows, which took place on various Lithuanian stages. The choreographers work is doubtlessly exceptional, stylish, emotional, full of energy, fascination, ideas, original expression and, above all, lively. The achievement of this result is made possible by A. Cholinas cooperation with the talented creators: the stage designers Marijus Jacovskis and Jūratė Paulėkaitė, and the costume designers Juozas Statkevičius, Sandra Straukaitė and Jolanta Rimkutė, Marija Rubavičiūtė and Kotryna Pociūnaitė. During the first three years A|CH theatre has shown over 120 performances across Lithuania and abroad: Latvia, Poland, Russia, Great Britain, China, Denmark and Hungary. The theatre does not have a permanent troupe of dancers. Different performers are hired for every performance. The choreographer in her dance performances uses ballet dancers, dramatic theatre actors, Lithuanian Music Academy dance - acting specialty students. |
